The official fees for court actions are essentially reduced.

Please be advised that in Belarus, starting from March 11, 2005, was adopted the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus “On official fee, paid for applications and complaints filing before the court collegium on patent matters of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus”.

In order to provide the court protection of the rights of intellectual property owners it was established:

When filing applications and complaints before the court collegium on patent matters of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus the official fee is collected at the following rates:

1.1. for the complaints with non-property character (or that are not estimated) the size of the official fee is 50 basic values;

1.2. for filing of a complaint against the decision of the Board of Appeals of the trademark examination of the state body “National center of intellectual property” the size of the official fee is 50 basic values;

Please kindly note that the basic value is variable and at present totals to 24 000 Belarussian roubles, that is equivalent to 12 US dollars.

Thus, at present the size of the collected official fee is about 600 US dollars. The size of the official fee may insignificantly vary, due to the per quarterly amendment of the basic value and the rate of the Belarussian rouble to the US dollar.
